Academy of Family Physicians of India (AFPI)

Welcome to the Academy of Family Physicians of India (AFPI). Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before applying for membership. By submitting the membership application and paying the membership fee, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions:

Membership Eligibility:

  • Membership is open to qualified medical doctors and healthcare professionals engaged, trained, or interested in family medicine, general practice, or primary care, based on the criteria outlined by AFPI.
  • Life Membership eligibility includes doctors qualified by academic credentials or professional experience as defined by AFPI.
  • Associate and Student memberships are available for residents, undergraduate/postgraduate students, and professionals interested in family medicine.
  • Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Non-Resident Indians (NRI) are eligible for membership; however, only Indian passport holders can vote or hold elected positions.

Membership Enrollment:

  • Applicants must complete the membership application form available at www.afpinational.org and submit it along with the required documents and membership fee.
  • AFPI reserves the right to verify submitted information and may request additional documentation before approving membership.

Membership Fee and Payment:

  • The membership fee must be paid in full through online banking, UPI, Paytm, or a crossed bank draft.
  • All payments must be made in Indian Rupees (INR). International remittance is not accepted.

Use of Membership:

  • Membership benefits, including access to events, publications, and professional development opportunities, are exclusive to registered members and are non-transferable.
  • Members must adhere to the ethical standards and code of conduct expected by AFPI.

Membership Term:

  • Life Membership is granted upon a one-time, non-refundable payment.
  • Associate and Student Memberships may have specific durations and terms as applicable.

Amendments:

  • AFPI reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Updates will be posted on the official website.

Communication:

  • By enrolling, members consent to receive communications, newsletters, and updates related to AFPI activities via email or other contact information provided.
