Return and Refund, Cancellation Policy

Academy of Family Physicians of India (AFPI)

At the Academy of Family Physicians of India (AFPI), we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and transparency. Please carefully read the following Return and Refund Policy:

Membership Fees:

• All membership fees paid to AFPI are non-refundable under any circumstances.
• Membership becomes active once payment is received and application processing is complete, regardless of the extent to which a member avails the offered benefits.

Incorrect or Duplicate Payments:

• In case of duplicate payments or transaction errors, members must notify AFPI within 7 working days from the date of payment.
• Requests for refunds for duplicate payments must be made in writing to finance@afpinational.org, along with proof of payment and a valid explanation.
• Upon verification, if the claim is found valid, AFPI will process the refund within 30 business days.

Payment Disputes:

• Disputes regarding membership payments must be raised promptly with appropriate supporting documents.
• AFPI will investigate each case individually; however, no refunds will be issued due to changes in a member’s interest, eligibility, or personal circumstances after joining.

Non-Acceptance of International Remittance:

• AFPI does not accept international remittance for membership fee payments. If such a payment is inadvertently made, AFPI will not be responsible for refunding any transaction fees, exchange losses, or related charges.

Cancellation of Membership:

• Membership can be cancelled if AFPI finds discrepancies in the member’s application or credentials, or if the member faces penal action by the National Executive after adequate enquiry.
• In the event of cancellation due to discrepancies, misconduct, or disciplinary action, no refund of membership fees will be provided.
• Members whose memberships are cancelled will be formally notified via email.
